A motion came from the floor that requested that votes be recorded for resolutions #2, #3, and #4 from the ministry policy. This recording of votes would need approval from the voting members and would only involve those members that desire their vote be recorded. The vote passed with about a 55-60% approval - didn't write it down. I'm thinking that people who voted against the resolutions were more interested in recording their actions.
Address from Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (Ralston Deffenbaugh) - thanked us for Assembly's action on Immigration Reform.
Social Statement Justice for Women to be completed by 2015. Approved 754-176
LCMS Address (Dr Gerald Kieschnick) - No one was surprised by his message. He was very direct and critical of the Assembly's actions taken on Sexuality. Looks like the split between our churches has now widened.
LWF General Secretary Dr Ishmael Noko - His message was one of unity. What unites us is more important than what divides us.
